“BENARUS IS OLDER THAN HISTORY, OLDER THAN TRADITION, OLDER EVEN THAN LEGEND AND LOOKS TWICE AS OLD AS ALL OF THEM PUT TOGETHER”

Banaras or Varanasi or Kashi is said to be the oldest living civilisation. This place is home to the famous Kashi Viswanath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

This is a short blog post about our 2 days family trip to this holy city in the month of November 2022.

Hampi in the Time of Corona

Sasivekalu Ganesha – Ganesha carved from a single rock

“Where there is ruin, there is hope for a treasure”

Hampi is a story of a civilisation which saw its pinnacle and downfall spanning over more than 300 years. It is a saga set in stone which looks no more than ruins from outside, but the ruins tell a very intricate story of what mankind is capable of achieving. A Tale of Two Princess and Two Upgrades

“ON EARTH THERE IS NO HEAVEN..BUT THERE ARE PIECES OF IT”

It will not be a hyperbole in saying that Maldives is one such place on Earth. The small pieces of heaven are dispersed in the form of atolls, each having numerous coral islands. This blog post is about 5D/4N vacation in one of the island resorts in Maldives.

We wanted to choose first international travel destination for our daughter, Trariti, before she turns 1. We were little skeptical with long flying hours, managing Jet lag etc but luckily, we found another like-minded couple, Sumit and Vinita Dubey, who were also planning something similar for their daughter, Kainaat. Little bit of research and recommendations from family and friends helped us narrow down to Cinnamon Dhonveli Island Resort.

A Road Trip wid Family

“A FAMILY THAT TRAVELS TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER”

This blog post is about our 10D/9N trip including my wife Nikita, me, my parents, my in-laws and my brother’s in-laws. We decided to draw our own Golden triangle by visiting Jaipur, Khatu Ji, Salasar Ji, Rani Sati Dadi Ji, Agra, Mathura, Vrindavan, Gokul, Barsana and Govardhan.

I should mention that this was the first trip of this scale for my daughter, Trariti, who was just 10 months old at that time. We were initially skeptical on pulling this off but we decided to rely on the wisdom of Chitwan from Tripling Web Series who would have said – Baba, Crisis ke time par family hi kaam aati hai. No, ours was not as crazy as theirs. It was a well planned family road trip with loads of Gastronomical blast. Stay tuned and read on..

Keep reading the post for the details.

Andamans – Land of Kala Paani

“WHEN YOU GROW UP ON AN ISLAND, WHAT MATTERS IS HOW YOU STAND TO THE SEA”

Andaman is full of natural beauty, pristine white sand beaches, turquoise blue water, mesmerising sunsets, diverse marine life and an interesting albeit dark history. This archipelago has a lot of attractions for tourists and is easily connected to major cities via multiple flight options or cruise ships leaving Chennai or Vizag.

This blog post is about our 5N/6D visit to this island in the month of Jan 2017. In this itinerary, we visited Port Blair, Neil Island and Havelock Island.
